They believe that it is the responsibility of the government to remedy the problem and journalists have a role to play to compel the government to live up to its responsibilities. This is true to some extent but the book argues that journalists' character affects the role they play which determines national development. Omanwa Ifeoma Muobike was born to Late Igwe J.A. Ekwueme and Lady E.O. Ekwueme. She is a native of Oko, Orumba North L.G.A, Anambra State, Nigeria. She is a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She teaches Development Journalism, and Advertising & PR Research.
