The battle with Alzheimer's can be lonely, tiring and trying. The truth is, a person with Alzheimer's doesn't get better. They may plateau for a little bit but eventually they only get worse. Watching someone battle Alzheimer's forces you to accept the situation. You may be in denial at first but eventually you have no choice but to accept what is happening. You have to accept that you have little to no control outside of your actions. Accepting the inevitable mortality of someone you love is a bitter pill to swallow. My goal with this book is to show others that what they are feeling is normal and that they are not alone. My goal is for you to be able to replace your own personal story in place of mine. I want to share my emotions and experiences because I believe others may find some peace in being able to relate. For those of you who may have friends, relatives or coworkers who are battling Alzheimer's, I hope to give you a glimpse into their lives. My story, like everyone's story, is unique. While everyone's journey is different, many of the obstacles we face are the same.
