This book describes carbon stock in Nigerian forests using the tropical rain forest and homogeneous plantations in Obafemi Awolowo University Estate as a representative sample. It gives insight into how much Nigerian rain forest and plantation stands can be effective in carbon sequestration. It also discuss the importance of herbaceous plants as well as soil in carbon sequestration. One peculiar issue that is note worthy in this book is the formulation of allometric equations for above ground biomass carbon stock generation.
