Ofelia Ros completed her doctoral studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in the Department of Romance Languages, under the direction of Kate Jenckes. She currently teaches a Master's Degree in Literary Studies at Santo Tomás University, Colombia. Likewise, she is a professor, researcher and research coordinator at the Instituto Caro y Cuervo. Her research articulates literary analysis intersecting with Marxism and psychoanalysis. She has published several articles in high-impact specialised journals such as the* Latin American Research Review* (LARR, 2015), Revista Iberoamericana (2015), Cuadernos de Literatura (2015), Dissidences: Hispanic Journal of Theory and Criticism (2014), Canadian Journal of Hispanic Studies (2013) and Latin American Literary Criticism Magazine (RCLL, 2010).
