In this book, we give a detailed construction of the crossed product of a C -algebra by a locally compact group. In Chapter 1, we review some preliminary results on locally compact groups and C -algebras. Oluwole V. Olobatuyi was born in 1986 in Nigeria. He completed his B.Sc. Math. Sc. at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ng, in 2008. He bagged his M.Sc. Math. in University of Windsor, CA. He is currently a PhD student in Applied Mathematics in University of Alberta where he develops and analyzes mathematical modeling in cancer research.
