Autorenporträt
L.M.R. Clarke, a child of the late 80s, grew up on the streets of West Belfast, Northern Ireland and began writing at the age of 14. She used school study periods to write fan fiction about her favorite Star Trek characters and soon became addicted to creating worlds and constructing their societies. When Lorraine qualified as an English teacher, she saw how important it was for young people to access difficult topics through fiction. She took inspiration from her favorite authors, Becky Albertalli, Adam Silvera and C.B Lee, and began writing for the YA audience with focus on inclusivity of LGBTQ characters. Lorraine recognized that the youth of today need a space to express their sexual and gender identities without fear which, as Lorraine considers herself to be non-binary, Lorraine is ideally placed to ensure. 'The Moon Rogue' is Lorraine's debut novel.
