The main purpose of this book is to give acoustic description of Akan nasals by means of spectrographic analysis within the framework of quantal theory, in order to resolve the problems of Akan nasals at different word positions, especially the alveolar and velar nasals at word-final, so that language teachers could apply them to language teaching and leaning. It discusses nasals at different word positions. duration, dialectal differences and similarities,as well as gender characteristics of nasals at different word positions.
