David A Lane is a psychologist and coach who has researched and taught formulation for several decades. He has contributed to the development of the field of coaching, supervision as well as to counselling psychology. Previous books include the case for coaching and critical approaches to coaching and mentoring. Louise C. Kovacs is a practitioner-researcher, executive coach and coaching supervisor. In completing her doctoral-level research she developed a framework for applying the concept of formulation in an executive coaching context. She has co-authored a number of articles on the topic of formulation and in her work as a supervisor continues to advance the case for formulation as an essential skill for coaches. Sarah Corrie is a psychologist and coach and has developed methods for teaching formulation in both coaching and professional psychology. She has published widely, including books on decision-making, supervision, and formulation in applied psychology. Sarah is also a Professor in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Counselling at the University of Suffolk.
