Autorenporträt
Dr. Lori Ciccomascolo attended Southern Connecticut State University (B.S., Communication and M.S., Exercise Science) and Boston University (Ed.D., Curriculum and Teaching) and is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island (URI). She currently serves as the Director of the Physical and Health Education Teacher Education (PHETE) program and is the Graduate Director of Kinesiology. In addition to her work in the Department of Kinesiology, she served as the interim Associate Dean of the College of Human Science and Services and is currently the co-chair of URI's Graduate Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment Committee. Her research interests focus on developing and implementing curricular interventions (e.g., girl-serving, outdoor education, and leadership) that promote the adoption and maintenance of physical activity among urban K-12 students. Her publications have appeared in the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance and the Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal and she has presented at regional and national conferences in the fields of Communication, Physical Education, and Physical Activity.
