Laura Beretsky is a writer and community activist. She lives in Somerville, Massachusetts with her husband, children, and two cats where she's active on the local community preservation committee and high school parent-teacher-student association. She is a part- time grant writer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Introduction to Technology, Engineering, and Science department. Her writing has appeared in publications of the Health Story Collaborative and the National Library of Poetry and broadcast on the Cognoscenti section of radio station WBUR Boston.
