No one talks about the reality of life after chemo and radiation. Surviving cancer doesn't always mean that life returns to normal. There can be a new normal and oftentimes, it isn't pretty. This memoir is a noteworthy compilation of the author's personal story paired with pragmatic tips. Laura Zick-Mauzy hopes to encourage anyone affected by cancer by addressing the challenges of treatments and the aftermath, including chemo and radiation, survivor's guilt, lymphedema, neuropathy, vaginal stenosis, chemo brain, post-traumatic embitterment, and incontinence issues.
