We are entering an age of hyper-connectivity. Due to improvements in our mobility and communication, our action radius within the last decades has greatly increased. Mobility is considered to be a necessity for participation in our current society; the Network Society. This book explains why the spatial form of the Network Society, the urban network, should be the framework for urban interventions, including urban regeneration and in particular Transit Orientated Development (TOD). It tries to find, within the framework of the urban network, the potential distribution of a TOD in the process of urban regeneration. The generated knowledge is tested in a case study; the Zeeburgerpad in Amsterdam. The research consists of a literature review, a location analysis of Zeeburgerpad, a network analysis of the urban network of Amsterdam, an analysis on the architectural expression of transits and the translation of all these studies into a design of a transferium at the Zeeburgerpad.
