Since the groundwater is found mostly contaminated by nitrate by previous researches, the study of intrinsic vulnerability of groundwater should be generated in order to delineate groundwater protection zone in these areas. This study has been conducted with two main objectives. First, is to determine the intrinsic vulnerability index of groundwater using two different methods, namely DRASTIC method (Aller et al., 1987) and Hoelting method (Hoelting et al., 1995). Second, is to evaluate the suitability of the method for the study area using nitrate which is believed to be a conservative ion in…mehr

Second, is to evaluate the suitability of the method for the study area using nitrate which is believed to be a conservative ion in groundwater. Therefore, all important parameters have to be collected both from previous research and field data investigation such as geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, and water sample from well then proceed and analysed to build the intrinsic vulnerability map and the evaluation.
