Leslie Kopf-Johnson is an educator with a PhD in Psychology and Human Development. During her career, she worked as an elementary school teacher and a professor of early learning and child development, and authored Introduction to School-Age Care in Canada, a college textbook. She is passionate about children's literature, diversity, and artistic expression. As well as writing, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughters, gardening, drawing, and creating stained glass, resin, and mosaic artwork. She lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with her husband, son, and rescue dog.
