Health care workers (HCWs) play a vital role in preventing hospital-acquired infections such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), failure to adhere to standard precautions may lead to the spread of multidrug-resistant organisms such as MRSA and increase the morbidity and mortality of patients.
