I was born in Guiseley and lived near woodland. At junior school a teacher was impressed with poetry I wrote and said he wanted to see my work in print when I was older. Being the mother of six children I had plenty of opportunity to make stories up for them. I enjoy writing and art and hope children have as much pleasure reading the book as I have had writing it.
