Collaborative analysis of student work combines the best of action research, professional standards, faculty study groups, standards-based learning, portfolio assessment, student assessment, and reflective practice. This book will help readers identify areas for growth, and then provide the information, resources, and tools to help teachers collaborate with trusted colleagues to improve instructional quality through the examination of student work. This work grew out of the authors' work on a US Department of Education grant on teacher evaluation.
