Autorenporträt
Born and raised in Portland, OR, Lindsey Richter is on a mission to change women's lives with mountain bikes. In 2010 Lindsey Richter founded Ladies AllRide, a mountain bike skills program dedicated to inspiring women to believe in themselves and realize what they're capable of on and off the bike. Of all her wild life experiences (like being a {short-lived} Reality TV star on the CBS TV show: Survivor-Africa) it was mountain biking that taught Lindsey life is about CREATING yourself, not finding yourself. Now as a world-renowned leader in the women's mountain bike movement, Lindsey spreads her passion for mountain biking across the globe through innovative and inspirational skills camps - Ladies AllRide, Grit Clinics and Girls AllRide MTB Skills Camps.Lindsey knows firsthand how mountain biking can change (and save) lives. She has dealt with depression and other mental health setbacks throughout her life and attributes the bike for showing her she can change her thoughts from fear-based to positive in order to keep moving forward. She believes bicycles have the power to help (everyone able to ride) become better humans for so many reasons. She is passionate about helping more women and girls realize their potentials by showing them how an activity like mountain biking relates to life.Lindsey's first book, Mountain Biking Adventures with Izzy: Etiquette is a Big Word came to life when co-author Heidi Ashwell asked her if she was interested in writing a children's book dedicated to helping new trail users be more aware of their etiquette! Lindsey was elated and honored to write the book and together they hope to see more people enjoying bikes and experiencing what playing outside can do for theirs and their kids' lives.
