Part memoir, part journal entry, and part poetry collection, Honey and Vinegar offers the reader a rare insight into the catharsis of creation in the wake of tragedy. Milwaukee poet, playwright, and teacher Linetta Davis provides an unsparing account of her intense grief at the sudden death of her father-a grief that at times robs her of her very will to live.Honey and Vinegar is the story of Davis's journey from despair to acceptance of both the sweet and the bitter aspects of life, aided by her faith, her poetry, and the love that she begins to realize has surrounded her all along.
