Autorenporträt
Lynn Zack Wardlaw - Author of many Church articles has turned his attention to writing of his life changing experience in the Submarine Service of the U. S. Navy. Over the years, friends and relatives have encouraged him to write his memoirs of his service time. Born in Shreveport, La. in 1936, Lynn spent his early childhood in New Orleans and the Cajun Country south of Baton Rouge. The Korean conflict brought his family to Savannah, Ga. in late 1951. Lynn's book, Me, My Torsk and GOD spans the late fifties and clearly defines the influence GOD had on steering Lynn away from his self appointed life style. The book is a fast paced true story that reads as easy as fiction. The Author is now a retired manager from a large utility company, married for over fifty years. He and his wife, Judy, have two children, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great children. Lynn is a Deacon in his Church, a Sunday School Teacher and a Custodian. The Author is also blessed with a 38 year sub-career with the N.H.R.A., a drag racing association. Lynn operated the Savannah Dragstrip for many years. He also was the announcer at this track as well as guest announcer at almost every drag strip in the southeast. He also had the pleasure of coaching little league basketball and football. He was a volunteer football coach for a private school, until the school grew and could hire a professional. The Author has great experience as a Sportscaster and Master of Ceremonies. GOD is GOOD!
