Lynne Appleton is a mum to three children. When her children were small, reading stories with them was an enjoyable and memorable activity, encouraging their love of literature through the words and pictures on the pages. Who Is Dolly? was inspired by the author's daughter's new puppy, who she called Dolly! Dolly is a much-loved family member and has a huge personality. Consequently, the author began writing verse in order to affectionately distinguish all of Dolly's many characteristics. Who Is Dolly? is the outcome!
