During the 2nd world wide war, the wear rates in mechanical components of planes which were in Al-Aalamain (at the north west of Egypt region), were three times as those in the European countries. The main reason for these high rates of mechanical wear is the high rates of dust due to environmental issues and conditions. Cement factory is a clear example of such dusty environment. The cement industry is very important industry in our age. So we want to see what are the problems and difficulties facing this serious industry in our eastern region. More than 70% of the wear causes are due to the contaminants coming from dust and sand particles in the ambient. The very high dusty contaminated environment causes the increasing of wear rates and failure of mechanical components. In this study, the aim is to make a simulation of the practical situation between two adjacent surfaces which must be separated by a fluid film. The used lubricant is Paraffin oil which is the basis for all mineral oils. The experiments were conducted using a CROSS-PIN tester in which the contact between two adjacent surfaces in a point, after that the Wear Scar Diameter (WSD) is measured.
