M.J. Taormina lives in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada mountains near Reno, NV. In his youth, he earned a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada and served aboard ship in the US Navy. His wife is a retired teacher, and he's the father of two daughters. His writing is inspired by his family's international travels, his service in the navy, and his interactions with animals and the environment.
