Physicochemical assessment of surface and groundwater resources of Chittagong division, which deals with the six chapters covering on: Chapter 1: General Introduction, Chapter 2: Experimental Methodology, Chapter 3: Physicochemical Assessment of Surface and Groundwater Resources of Chittagong Region, Chapter 4: Physicochemical Assessment of Surface and Groundwater Resources of Comilla Region, Chapter 5: Physicochemical Assessment of Surface and Groundwater Resources of Noakhali Region and Chapter 6: Conclusions and Recommendations. Background of Chittagong division: Chittagong division is one of the important area of Bangladesh. A large number of industries and the main sea port of this country are situated here. It comprises four greater districts namely- Chittagong, Chittagong Hill tracts, Comilla and Noakhali. There are eleven districts in this division. These are Chittagong, Cox s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban, Khagrachhari, Comilla, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur. A large numbers of rivers, their tributaries and distributaries criss-crosses the division. These are the Karnafuli, Halda, Sangu, Matamuhuri, Bakkhali, Naf, Kasalong, Megna and Gomati.
