Subash Thanappan est professeur associé au département de génie civil de l'université d'Ambo, en Éthiopie, depuis 2011. Il a travaillé à l'Institut de technologie de l'Érythrée à Asmara, en Érythrée, de 2007 à 2011. Il a publié un certain nombre d'articles de recherche et est membre de l'IAHS, de l'IAENG et de l'IFERP.
