Design and synthesis of three homologous series and eleven binary complexes comprising of 121 mesogens is discussed elaborately in the above sections. Phase variance exhibited by the individual complexes with the corresponding mesogenic thermal range along with molecular formula and molecular weight are tabulated in separate tables. Smectic X is a new phase which is observed in the above investigations. Chemical spectroscopy namely FTIR and NMR spectra of various mesogens has been discussed in the above sections in detail. The precursors spectroscopic details are also discussed and compared with the corresponding complexes.
