This book contains two major parts: the first part is the ions characterization namely proton and neon ions by using two diagnostics (Faraday cup and solid state nuclear track detector) in terms of flux, energy, fluence etc. The second part includes implantation of those ions on materials of tokamak interest for next generation fusion reactor namely tungsten and graphite and their characterization in terms of surface morphology and structural damages. The emerging results included would provide input to the reactor physics in general and International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) programme in particular. Tungsten and graphite plasma facing component(PFC)s are used in the divertor region of ITER, hence this studies will be mostly beneficial to fusion research. Since ITER is likely to start in 2018, the results listed herewith is foremost in preparing the 10 times larger output of it.
