In recent years, new strategies have been developed to improve the thermal behavior of fluids used for industrial applications. The more promising technology in this area is the use of suspended nanoparticles in low volume fraction within the working fluids, leading to the concept of "nanofluids". Several studies declare that the thermal properties of carbon nanotubes (CNT) suspensions are much higher than those of other nanoparticles with the same volume fraction. Moreover, the implementation of wire coil inserts is widely accepted as an effective passive method for increasing the turbulence of the working fluid and, as a result, heat transfer coefficient. Hence, it is necessary to understand the importance of MWCNT-water nanofluid inside coil wire inserted tubes for heat transfer purposes. In this regard, the experiments are carried out to calculate the thermo-physical properties of the nanofluids as the primary step for assessing the heat transfer coefficient and friction factor. Thereafter, a comprehensive experimental and numerical study has been performed to elucidate the impact of dominating parameters on Nu number and performance evaluation criterion (PEC).
