Rohi Mataluna: Pashto Proverbs is based on the work of MOHAMMAD NAWAZ TAIR, University Professor in Pashto Language and Literature and former Director of the Pashto Academy, University of Peshawar and THOMAS C. EDWARDS, Assistant Professor of the Humanities Department, College of Engineering, University of Michigan, who worked with Professor Tair to translate the proverbs from Pashto to English. LEONARD N. BARTLOTTI is Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at Biola University (La Mirada, CA), and was the Founder and former Executive Director of the InterLit Foundation. An ethnographic folklorist and anthropologist of Islam, Dr. Bartlotti is a consultant to humanitarian organizations. DR. RAJ WALI SHAH KHATTAK is the Director of the Pashto Department of the University of Peshawar (Pakistan), and was Director of the Pashto Academy, University of Peshawar from 1995 until 2005. He has published materials on Pashtun language and culture in both English and Pashto.
