Multimedia communication over wireless networks is the technology of the future. The requirement of multimedia transmission is a perfect multiple access technique. Voice is the major traffic carried by today's cellular networks. Performance studies show that by applying reservation policies with the Packet Reservation Multiple Access (PRMA) and slotted CDMA, we can easy integrate different traffic types in mobile communication network. In this work, we studies PRMA and slotted CDMA protocols. An analytical model and computation is presented in order to determine the parameters that influence its efficiency. Two numerical methods are proposed for the evaluation of Packet Reservation Multiple Access (PRMA) protocol based voice/data integration system. The first model uses the equilibrium point analysis (EPA), which is used to calculate the voice packet dropping probability, average data delay (the voice terminal will drop a long delayed packet while the data terminal just keeps it in the buffer) and system throughput. The second uses the Markov analysis adopted to evaluate the same three performance measures.
