A lot of technologies have been developed in order to design and construct the product easily and economically. Rapid Prototyping (RP) technology is one of the most utilized technologies when it comes to creating the prototype parts. RP refers to the automated construction of three dimensional prototypes which goes through the processes that involve Computer Aided Design (CAD). The design that needs to be fabricated is fed into the machine which transforms it to its physical three dimensional models via an automated mechanical process. The rapid prototyping technology enables quick and easy transition from concept generation in the form of computer images to the fabrication of physical models. With the introduction of this prototyping technology, the utilization of a much wider application suddenly became a possibility which includes the medical industry. Having actual prototypes of anatomical parts could be very beneficial not only for doctors to have better understanding of certain strategies and effectively discuss it, it is also helpful in the sense that doctors now have a simple way of explaining complex procedures to their patients with the use of these aids.
