In this research, MnFe2O4 nanoparticles was synthesized based on the co precipitation method and modified by chitosan. The nanocomposites (Ch-MnFe2O4) were used to remove Acid Blue 92 dye (AB92) from aqueous solution. The prepared samples were characterized by various techniques such as fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The effects of various parameters, such as pH, temperature, contact time, adsorbent dosage, and initial AB92 dye concentration on the adsorption performance were investigated. The adsorption isotherm models Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin, Dubinin-Radushkevich and Redlich Peterson were studied. To further understand the kinetics of the adsorption process of AB92 on Ch-MnFe2O4, three kinetics models, pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and intraparticle diffusion were used to analyze the adsorption kinetics. The results showed adsorption prosses in pH 4.0 and 323 K with 30 mg L¿1 initial concentration of AB92 and 0.01 g of adsorbent were well described by Langmuir isotherm model.
