Produktbeschreibung
This is a woman's true story of cancer, heartbreak and betrayal. While her story may be unique in the sequence of events as they unfold; her story is one that is common across all races, cultures, and economic divisions. On the brink of menopause and her fiftieth birthday, our narrator finds her husband to be a changed person. Gaunt, moody, cold and secretive, her beloved Andres has transformed from a kind, gentle and deeply compassionate man to manipulative, mean and angry one. As he develops more physical symptoms, her worry and concern also turn to despair as deep and disturbing secrets tear her world apart.
Unabashed and unashamed, the author cycles through a myriad of emotions as she writes a diary of the events. Her two biggest sources of strength are her good friend, George, who is dealing with his own troubled situation and famed playwright, Tyler Perry. His movie, "The Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and the characters of Madea, Helen McCarter and Myrtle Simmons help guide her through her darkest hours back to a place of peace and self-acceptance..
