God's desire is that man should always have a cordial relationship with Him. Cordial in the sense, that we know Him, love Him and believe in Him and He will constantly show up in every situation that looks bigger than us.
His desire is to appear and help, once a man calls on Him and cry for help in the times of trouble. At times, He even comes when any of His beloved child is still thinking about calling on Him. See Isaiah 65:24. It often depends on the level of one's relationship with Him.
Once God is there, it can either be for the purpose of good or for bad. It depends on us to choose. Good for good works and bad for bad works. He watches over us and sees every situation and our approach towards them. It does not make him happy seeing us suffer or being in various kinds of troubles, but He always expects that we should call on Him, to come to our aid knowing that He cares for us.
God cares in so many ways. He can show up and help His people through a sign or a miracle. He can show up and help us directly through a vision, a dream or a trance. He can also use His angels to show up and help us or use a man of God to show up and speak to us through His word.
No matter how we may feel in our situation or how tough we think the situation is, He is always on time. The Bible has stories of Him and what happened when He showed up. In the book of Genesis, the story of how man was created is told. There, we see God creating man in His own image and likeness.
He made a garden and kept man there, to take care of it. Man however, was disobedient and did not keep to the rules and regulations that God laid down for him to live by. Because of this, God showed up angry and this led to man being chased out of the garden of Eden.
God laid curses on man due to that event but in His kindness as God, He still did not destroy man. The Bible recorded that He killed an animal and used its skin to cover the man and his wife. The man Adam did not invite God, but God saw what had happened and came to take action against the man, his wife and the beast that deceived and led them to disobey their creator.
This book is written to look at situations where God showed up in the lives of people as recorded in the word of God, the Bible and use them as a landmark for us to have a clear understanding on the things God has prepared and He has done, is doing and will do, for His people in general.
God has never intended to abandon anyone who trusts in Him. He is always there by the side, waiting for us to call on Him who is able. He said, "I am the Lord the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for me to do?"
There is absolutely nothing too hard for our God to do. He is a warrior and a shield, the mighty man in battle. He has never lost any battle and cannot lose today. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Once we call on him, in spirit and in truth, He answers and show His steadfastness as the only true God. As the almighty God, He cannot share His glory with any other God.
The psalmist said, "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's:. Psalms 103: 1-5
