In this research, igneous bodies associated with salt diapirs in the Shurab and Garmsar area of the Central Basin are studied. Considering that there is a great controversy about the tectonic setting of Central Basin, Iran, so a petrological study on the volcanic rocks of the Shurab and Garmsar area can be important in order to tectonic and petrology understand of Central Basin.

Somayeh Falahaty was born in Iran. He received the B.Sc. and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees with First Class Honors from University of Isfahan, Isfahan, Iran. Her research interests are in the fields of geology, including petrology and geochemistry of igneous rocks.
