Africa faces unique challenges posed by climate change, which have profound implications for public health and well-being. The proliferation of misinformation further complicates efforts to address these pressing issues, making it imperative to examine how these factors interact. Through a comprehensive literature review and qualitative analysis using interview as an instrument of data collection, the research identifies strategies to combat misinformation effectively, with a focus on leveraging Inoculation Theory to address climate misinformation. Grounded in Inoculation Theory, the study highlights the importance of pre-emptively exposing individuals to weakened misinformation to enhance their resistance to persuasion, ultimately recommending targeted communication strategies to inoculate the public against climate misinformation.
