Rick Mathis, Ph.D., is a writer exploring how traditional Christian spiritual practices can help us to lead deeper and more meaningful lives. Dr. Mathis received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Johns Hopkins University and his B.A. from the University of Tennessee. He also manages the development of consumer health information at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and is an adjunct faculty member at the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine in Chattanooga. He is married and has two children.
