The aim with the study has been to analyze their personal opinions regarding censorship, self-censorship, the media climate and if they feel there is press freedom for journalists in Ecuador. The study should be useful to journalists, reporters or anyone else who wants to get a deeper understanding of the media climate in Ecuador. It has been awarded "Best thesis of 2010" at the Journalism and Media Production Programme at Linnaeus University.
