Thus DDSR is preferred for better return, less irrigation requirement, low cost of cultivation and less drudgery.

The author, was born on 16th January 1987 in Patihani-2, Chitwan as eldest son of Mrs. Rupa and Mr. Tikaram Dhakal. He completed his bachelor degree in 2005 and Masters Degree in Agronomy in 2010. Now he is an Agricultural Officer in Government of Nepal, National Agricultural Research and Development Fund (NARDF), Kathmandu.
