Still mining should continue but in a sustainable manner. Governments believe in 'Parachuted development'. Does India needs it? India is a transitional society moving from the old feudal character to knit for itself an industrialised fabric. It will take time.Therefore, any attempt to force west influenced development model would be thwarted by the people because India needs regular form of development that guarantees livelihood to people without promising ecological insecurity. Development if not contiguous then continuous be...is the philosophical colour that development needs in India.
