Thus, service quality has become a major element of all highly developed organizations strategic plan. Considering any other service, measuring service quality is an important issue in technical education. Technical Education (AICTE) has been in existence since November 1945 as a national level Apex Advisory Body and as a statutory body through an Act of Parliament in 1987 with its mission of developing and promoting quality technical education in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. The Council believes in providing a proper impetus for the Institutions to generate competent Engineers, Pharmacists, Managers, Architects and Scientists and encourages them to think beyond the curriculum while imparting training for the advancement of knowledge. important for administrators and policy makers. It will enable the administrators and policy makers of technical education to understand the issues related to the quality assurance system, in general the process and implementation of the system . While many studies have been done on the quality of service of engineering colleges and universities, but in particular, little studies have been done on polytechnic institutes in Haryana. Careful study of literature reveals that there has been no comprehensive study on the quality of the service of Polytechnic in this field as a subject of advanced research. In view of the differences in the literature on this subject, the present study mainly proposes to emphasize the 'Service Quality of Technical Education System: A Study of polytechnics in Haryana". These institutions provide important services to students and teachers. Therefore, this work has been selected in Haryana to study the services provided by these polytechnics and to evaluate the level of completeness of the respective students and teachers. The thesis tries to examine the Perceptionss and expectations of students and teachers towards the facilities provided by the polytechnic institutions in Haryana. The research highlights some pitfalls and shortcomings which come in the way of the educational developments particularly in technical institutions. The measurement of Perceptions and expectation of teachers and students towards polytechnic institutions in Haryana will bring about positive change in the plight of educational environment in Haryana. Hence, the research work offers valuable insights to both researchers and policy makers in removing pitfalls and shortcoming for upliftment of educational environment in technical institutions in Haryana.
