The basic design and components used in the regenerative braking for current vehicles is also reviewed. Through the study, a RBS model is designed and fabricated. The working mechanism was developed to understand how the RBS could convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. In this mechanism the energy lost due to braking is extracted and the energy is stored in the battery.it is also observed that as the speed of vehicle increased the voltage (energy) produced is also increased, which in turn decrees fuel consumption and increase overall efficiency.
