Frederick Malphurs retired from the Veterans Healthcare Administration after thirty-seven years, with over twenty years as a senior executive. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and lives in Gainesville, Florida with his wife Robin, two cats and a Chihuahua. He and his wife have six adult children.
