Ultrasonic wave propagation in a medium affects its physical properties. Ultrasonic studies of binary and ternary mixtures of electrolytes and non-electrolytes enable one to calculate the acoustic and thermodynamic parameters and their excess values, which are of great use in understanding the nature and strength of molecular interactions. In our book we have done the ultrasonic study of the ternary mixtures consisting of N,N-Dimethylformamide, Cyclohexane along with Benzene or substituted Benzene such as Chlorobenzene, Nitrobenzene and Pyridine at different temperature and different frequencies. System - I:DMF + Cyclohexane + Chlorobenzene, System - II: DMF + Cyclohexane + Nitrobenzene, System - III:DMF + Cyclohexane + Benzene, System - IV:DMF + Cyclohexane + Pyridine, Cyclohexane is highly inert towards an electrophile or nucleophile at ordinary temperature. Due to its inertness towards electron donor, dispersive type of interaction is expected between it and other components. Hence concentration of cyclohexane was maintained at a constant value. Concentration of DMF and benzene group of liquids was varied.
