This book is an invitation for the reader who wants to learn about the thought of this Jesuit, philosopher, theologian and martyr. The figure of Ignacio Ellacuría is fascinating because both his life and his death are the perfect example of his radical commitment to those most in need: the crucified people of the world. This is the hallmark of his rigorous, complex, and multidisciplinary intellectual legacy. Ellacuría's concerns cannot be understood without a careful look at his philosophical work. Although his thinking also encompasses theology and political analysis, philosophy is the thread that links some of his main theological, political and academic concepts.
