Marcellus Nealy is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and a co-editor as well as contributing author of Umoja: ToPoJo Excursions - Black Diaspora Edition. Since 1992, he has been a prominent figure in Tokyo's poetry scene, known for his unique blend of improvised free verse and live musical performances. His work often explores themes such as challenging societal norms, seeking spiritual enlightenment, and celebrating both art and life.
