In AGE IS ONLY A NUMBER, a witty 96-year-old reflects on the quirks and challenges of old age. Born and raised in the oddly named town of North, South Carolina, Marcia Bass Brody once appeared on the TV show "You Bet Your Life," in one of the funniest episodes ever. In these poems she pulls no punches in describing the indignities of age, but also reveals how she maintains her spirit and abundant good humor. Both older readers and their families will be enlightened and amused by these sharp-sighted poems.
