Born in Brazil and a proud mother of sons Leandro and Guilherme, Dr. Borges-Gatewood now lives in Texas with her husband, Mark. She has worked in Brazil and US public schools as a teacher and principal, as well as a Professor in both countries. She has a Doctor of Education from the University of Memphis, TN, in Leadership and Policy Studies.
