Impedance spectroscopy is rapidly gaining popularity in research of materials, live tissues and electro-chemical cells. The progress is hindered by lack of affordable and easy to use impedance measuring devices. Laboratory measuring equipment is very expensive and heavy. Often more than one device is necessary to perform the measurements. The size and cost of these devices makes it impossible to use them in wider areas like for instance in field-work. Therefore a small, hand-held measurement device was designed for measurement of impedance in the frequency range from 10mHz to 10kHz and impedance range of 1m to 10k and with a potentiostatic capability. The requirement for Li-ion measuring capability does not mean that this device could not be used for measurements of other objects.
