In resent decades the topic of crisis management has been significantly developed in scientific research. In the theoretical area, crisis management can successfully develop only as an interdisciplinary science integrating economic, sociological, psychological, political and other scientific disciplines. This publication offers a wide review of investigated observations based on broad empirical and theoretical research and the sorting out of investigated phenomena according to the defined contexts. A review of crisis models and research approaches will be a contribution to further applied research and the impulse for the practical preparation of crises management. Included empiric research present the current level of awareness of crisis management among managers and their preparedness for crises. Not only scientists but also managers have to know the possible development of different types of crises to be able to choose the right strategy for their management. For this reason, asimply and comprehensible anatomy of a crisis model is presented. This publication is written for academic researchers but also practitioners (especially middle management) can find useful information.
